Bernar VENET

French Land art artist

Born in 1941

This  intenational  sculptor became known for the monumentality and dynamics of his monumental rusty metal sculptures.

His conceptual work moves him away from static composition and leads him towards movement; each element of his sculptures can then be assembled in an orderly manner but also randomly until the collapse.

The largest sculpture ever built « the major arch » built on the highway between Belgium and Luxembourg, anchored in the ground and integrated in the lateral slopes, reveals itself as a work in perpetual movement under the ever-fleeting gaze of motorists.
