Catherine BAAS

French Land art artist

Born in 1967.

Her installations establish with nature a  connection that induces a mutually interrogative look between human creations and their natural environnement : helical stairs around a tree, disshelved sheds, a boat hull, many objects that become unusual once used out of their normal context.

Her deliberately hybrid installations are dedicated to showing the complexity of the relationships between nature and culture, nature and artifice, human and non human.

Their staging is all the more assertive as their flamboyant red tone contrasts with the green of the meadows and forests.
