           John Grade, develops a conceptual vision of sculpture using juxtaposed wood elements, natural polymer resines or paper. 

            He places his creations in the natural cycle of eclosion and deterioration.

         " It grew out of a feeling I had that my stuff was too controlled,"  "I simply had too much control. Something had to give." The sculptor on his recent works, which not only reflect earthscapes but become, for a while, part of them.

            The artist's work achieves  an extraordinary balance : physical immediacy against vulnerability."
